About Us
"Gardening requires lots of water - most of it in the form of perspiration." ~Lou Erickson
All Seasons was started in 1970 in Langdon, North Dakota by Martha and Bill Heitmann as a retail greenhouse called the Langdon Garden Center.
Construction at our current location began at 6:00 AM on September 17th, 1978 when a pond was dug out to build up the building site. Construction on the main greenhouse was completed by Spring '79, the size was just under 14,000 square feet. In the summer of 1980, construction began on the main showroom, garden store, gift shop, floral department, garage and work areas totaling 6400 square feet. The store's front door arrived just before the Christmas selling season - however the windows were plastic!
In 1986, we expanded our business to include a shop in the Columbia Mall, but then closed this portion of the business in 1997.
Dieter and Georgia Heitmann, along with their daughters, Jan and Jill, have been filling pots, caring for crops, driving tractors, tending to the nursery and all other aspects of the business for many years. Jill's husband, Scott, along with their three busy sons, Jacob, Adam and Nicholas, have also been a great addition to the family business. Together, they have much pride in their customer service and quality of products.

All Seasons Garden Center has expanded to include the following departments: flower shop, gift shop, garden store, nursery, greenhouse, landscaping and tree-moving divisions. We are the most comprehensive garden center in North Dakota.
~The Critters of All Seasons~
A visit to All Seasons is never complete without seeing the fish and giving the cats a pat hello!
Peanut
|
Peanut is our orange kitty who enjoys greeting people at the door and finding unusual places to sleep. You may see her dart through the showroom during one of her random bouts of energy. She is very sweet and loves to be pet.
|
Snickers
|
Snickers is our mouser whose moods can range from ultra friendly to a little feisty, and always with a devil-may-care attitude. She likes to ride around on people's shoulders, sleep on the warm copier, and keep watch around All Seasons.
|
Birds
|
All Seasons has two cockatiels that live in the greenhouse. They love watching shoppers go by. |
Fish
|
Just inside the main greenhouse is a fish pond with our many colorful koi fish! They are a favorite among our youngest shoppers! |
